ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Associate Degrees (lower Level Matriculation). 

1. The individual must have completed fifth form or grade 11.  They should also possess passing grades five CSEC subjects or their equivalent, not necessarily obtained in the same sitting as follows:

(i) English Language (A).  Applicants who do not possess a grade 1 in English (A) or Grades 1 or 2 in Communication Studies are required to take the English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT).  The ELPT is administered several times a year at a cost of USD$25.00, (Please call the office for test dates) and 

(ii) Mathematics or a foreign language, or an approved Science (not Health Science), or Additional Mathematics or Geography.  Candidates who do not meet this requirement must successfully complete an approved remedial mathematics course.  Approved remedial mathematics course include the following, Improving your Math Skills (IYMS) and MATH)0900/CE001 Mathematics.

(iii) Three other approved subjects not listed above.

2. Persons over the age of 21 on the basis of their overall academic and professional attainments (Mature Enrollment).

3. Holders of one of the approved certificates from the school of Continuing Studies with an acceptable pass in English Language.

4. Mature Applicants – Mature applicants are persons over the age of 21 years who have been out of secondary school for at least five years.  Such applicants may be granted normal or lower-level matriculation on the basis of their overall academic and professional achievements.

CXC, CAPE – The individual must have completed fifth form or grade 11.  They should also possess passing grades in a least four CSEC subjects or their equivalent.

Technical Requirements – Applicants should be comfortable using a personal computer and email.  Students will need to have access to a computer with internet access.

Ministry of Education  (MOE) Tuition Subsidy – These are for Jamaican applicants only and the individual must have completed fifth form or grade 11 in the year of application in order to access this subsidy.  Please inform the office that you are applying under the Sixth Form Pathways Program, SFPP in order to access the subsidy.

Enhanced Practical Nurse Technician – The individual must have completed high school.  No subjects are required for entry into this program.
